My Music Men

Tonight after baths, instead of winding down and relaxing like normal parents would want their little children to do, we decided to Jam Out!!!

Ryan was on the Guitar:

Andrew was on the drums:

And Kai was on the Flute??

Then he decided use his maracas in an interpretive dance!

We are not quite sure about him....

From the mouths of babes

Kai started up Awanas again last week and his very first task was to memorize John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life"

So we were laying in bed talking about this verse tonight and our conversation went a little like this:

Kai: What does perish mean?

Lindsay: It means to die.

Kai: What does eternal life mean?

Lindsay: It means that after we die here on earth, if we believe in Jesus, we will live forever with him in Heaven.

Kai: Well, what if someone does not believe, what happens to them?

Lindsay: They have to go and live with the devil?

Kai: What is his house like?

Lindsay: Well, it is really bad. You don't get to do anything fun, or see any of your family or friends, and it is really hot.

Kai: So, the devil doesn't have AC?

Lindsay: Thats right.

Kai: If you live with the devil, do you really have to sit on a tac?

Lindsay: (laughing) Yes Kai, you do.

Kai: Well, then it's a good thing I believe in Jesus.

I really love that kid!!!

The Kings of Nottinghill

We don't get much dress up play in our house.... so I cherish the few times we do. Kai got to be King for the day at school, and ever since then, royalty has ruled our roost.

I am not saying they always get worn correctly, but for some reason, someone is always sporting a crown!!
