Summer Lovin'

Aren't my boys the cutest!!!!!

This has been a busy month.. we have hardly had time to sit down and relax, let alone blog about it. Ryan went away for a week for UM Army. He had a great time hanging out with his brother and even got to explore his public speaking skills (not that anyone thought he would be bad at public speaking, I mean it is Ryan-- I don't think there is anyone who loves to talk more than him) by delivering the message a few of the night. He really got a lot out of the week and I am glad he got to go, even if it meant me and Kai fending for ourselves for the week.

When he got back, I decided it was finally time to chop off my hair. I had been threating to donate it to Locks of Love for a while now, and I finally got the courage up to do it. Ten inches later, I feel pretty good about my new do. Here are my before and after pictures:

Thursday we went and picked up Emma and Coleman and headed down to the Children's Museum. It was a free day at the museum so it was packed and when the kids out number the adults, it makes for a very tiring trip. They had fun though.

Friday we spent the day in Galveston. We went to the beach, visited the Railroad Mueum, crossed the ferry (and saw dolphins on both trips) and hung out on the Strand.

This week we plan on just hanging out and doing nothing because we are leaving for El Paso on Friday. We need a few days of down time.

Baby Blue

We are having a boy!!!!

And Kai went swimming today and actually swam!! He was jumping off the diving board and swimming about 2-3 feet underwater to Ryan. I was very impressed!!! My baby is growing so fast... guess it is good I am having another one.

Summer breeze

Summer has officially started in the Roberts' household. Ryan still has two days left of school, but they will be filled with him in a dunking booth at the school fair and chaperoning a school dance, so nothing very hard. Kai and I spent our first day of summer doing a whole lot of nothing. We slept in until 9am, played Cars almost all day, and went to the toy store. Very exciting stuff. Tomorrow we are going blueberry picking with Mimi and Pappa, and Friday we are going to the library. I am hoping to teach Kai and myself some sign language over the summer. We were watching a baby sign language video over at a friends house the other day and Kai was very interested in it and was picking up on it pretty fast, so we are going to give it a try.
